eng Influence of ZnO/ZnS on the photoinduced response of heavy-metal Sb2O3-based glasses Two Sb2O3-based glasses with the addition of ZnO or ZnS are compared in terms of their suitability for direct laser writing with a continuous-wave laser emitting at 447 nm. The laser exposure of both glasses induced topographical changes on their surface (expansion, material removal) with a potential use in microoptics. However, the chemical form of the zinc compound has an effect on the value of the optical gap, in the case of ZnS its value is lower. Thus the presence of ZnS has positive impact on the photosensitivity of the used glass, compared to material containing ZnO, i.e. it allows to use shorter exposition time and/or lower laser power density. In addition, in case of ZnS presence in glass we observed darkening of the areas exposed to laser beam, i.e. the topographical changes are accompanied with changes in optical transmission. direct laser writing; photoinduced effects; heavy metal oxide glasses; microlenses; photochromism; optical properties
