Despite global challenges in recent years, notable progress has been made—renewable energy production has increased to 46%, greenhouse gas emissions have fallen by 30%, transport emissions by 15%, and 1.2 billion trees have been planted. However, the Green Deal also faces significant obstacles, including reduced competitiveness of energy‑intensive industries, high energy costs, complex regulation, and administrative burdens for businesses.
