cze Hydrogen bonding and supramolecular assemblies in azocoupled enaminones We found out the structure of the azo coupled enaminones depends on type of their amino group and on starting enaminone. If the amino group is primary, the resulting product exists as in CDCl3 solution as in the solid state predominantly as azo compound with intramolecular hydrogen bond between nitrogens of tha amino group and the azo group. The second hydrogen of the amino group in crystal participates in intermolecular hydrogen bonding with carbonyl group of a neighbouring molecule. In CDCl3 solution there exists also an isomer with intramolecular hydrogen bond between nitrogen of the amino group and the carbobyl group of the same molecule as minor form.
