eng INVESTIGATION OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF STEEL AND LAMINATED FABRIC PLATES UNDER BLAST WAVE LOAD The paper deals with numerical 3D simulation, through the code LS-DYNA, of the effects caused by air blast waves generated by cylindrical TNT charges (the mass of 50g, 75g, and 100g) on fully clamped rectangular plates made of steel or steel-composites combination. The paper presents constitutive models used for the numerical system parts: TNT, air, steel, and laminated fabric composites. Then, it describes numerical 3D models used for the simulations. The main output results of the simulations are presented and compared with the experiments performed at the Institute of Armament Technology, Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From the comparison, it follows that the numerical simulations are in a good agreement with the experiments but a future research effort is needed in the field of the constitutive description of the composite plate dynamic behaviour. numerical simulation, FEM, LS-DYNA
