cze MULTINUCLEAR NMR STUDY OF TRIORGANOTIN(IV) ESTERS OF 4-KETOPIMELIC ACID There is a long-standing interest in chemistry of triorganotin(IV) esters of carboxylic acids both in academia and industry, because of known catalytic and medicinal activity.[1] The structural motifs of triorganotin(IV) esters of carboxylic acids are well established and studied by multinuclear NMR techniques in solution (Scheme 1A - C). For our work we have selected the triorganotin diesters of ketopimelic acid in order to observe two equivalent or non-equivalent tin fragments depending up sterical hindrance of organyl groups and the possibility of formation of seven-membered ring through the intramolecular interaction of tin atom with the ketonic oxygen . The set of six triorganotin esters of ketopimelic acid was prepared and their structure both in the solid state and solution of different solvents was studied by the help of XRD, NMR and IR techniques.
