eng MESOPOROUS VANADO-SILICATE WITH SBA 15 STRUCTURE This contribution deals with characterization and the ODH catalytic activity testing of mesoporous vanado-silicate with SBA-15 structure prepared by direct synthesis. The effect of synthesis gel pH value was investigated from the point of view texture of material prepared and vanadium species amount and distribution. Content of vanadium were characterized by X-ray fluorescence and morphology and textural properties were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and N2 adsorption isotherm measurements. Determination of vanadium complex speciation was carried out by H2-TPR and DR UV-vis techniques. The catalytic activities were tested by C4-ODH and C3-ODH reactions by using a plug-flow fixed-bed reactor. The activity and selectivity of catalysts was tested at 540 °C for both ODH reaction and the feed composition were C4H10/O2/He = 5/5/90 vol.% for C4-ODH and C3H8/O2/He = 2.5/5/90 vol.% for C3-ODH with total flow of 1 dm3min-1 STP in both cases. All prepared samples exhibit structure with very high volume of mesopores and only small trace of micropores. This pore volume and pore diameter increased with pH value of synthesis mixture. These properties predetermine this material for many applications, especially in catalysis, adsorption or separation. Mainly monomeric and oligomeric vanadium species with Td coordination were detected in the sample and their amount was increasing with pH value of synthesis gel. In comparison with samples prepared by impregnation method [1], materials prepared by direct synthesis exhibits much higher value of appropriate olefin productivity and selectivity towards alkenes. This catalyst belongs to the three best catalytic systems which were reported in literature for ODH of n-butane ever. MESOPOROUS MATERIAL; VANADO-SILICATE; SBA-15
