eng Preparation and reactivity of metal complexes based on B-diketiminate ligand The easily electronically and sterically tunable B-diketiminates (BDI) are widely used ligands for the creation of a wide range of metal complexes with various oxidation states in almost all groups of the periodic table. The complexes are studied usually for their catalytic activity1 in countless organic transformations2. Our goal was to modify the structure of regularly used ligands by introducing appropriate functional groups to its structure which could coordinate metal centre and affect higher stability of final metal complexes. Several ligands were prepared3 but only one of them was further studied because of donor groups in convenient positions. BDI metal complexes were prepared from activated species and metal chlorides (M=Sn, Bi, Ge). The second way which we have chosen is the reaction of unactivated ligand and bis- or tris[bis(trimethylsilyl)]amide metal complexes (M=Sn, Ge, La, Sm, Nd). Complexes made from tin dichloride and bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)]amide tin (Figure 1) were studied in detail especially in term of reactivity with organic substrates. All prepared compounds were characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and when it was possible by XRD techniques. metal complexes; B-diketiminate, bifunctional ligand, NMR, XRD
