eng Quantum dots-linked immunosensor based on mercury and bismuth film electrode for detection of multiple ovarian cancer biomarkers The quantification of specific biomarker of ovarian cancer at early stage of the disease is in the forefrot of researchers in clinical diagnostics because it can greatly improve the survival rate or vacilitate effective therapy. Commonly used biomarker CA125 is nowadays supplemented by analysis of other biomarkers, such as CA72-4 and currently HE4, which is promissing biomarker for its high specificity for malignancy comparing to benign form of disease. Here we present the development of microvolume quantum dot-linked sandwich type stripping voltammetric immunoassay for quantitative determination of multiple biomarkers, HE4 protein and CA125. Mixture of specific monoclonal anti-HE4 and anti-CA125 IgG antibodies covalently attached to the magnetic microparticles are used to capture the target antigen. QD annolabels containing CdSe and InP are utilized for the labelling of polyclonal detection antibodies of appropriate specificity. The subsequent anodic stripping voltammetric analysis of cadmium and indium released by acid from the corresponding QD nanolabels was conducted at an in situ bismuth film electrode. The difference of peak potentials of used QDs enables the multiplex detection of more protein biomarkers in a single run. HE4; electrochemical immunosensor; quantum dots; miltiplex analysis;
