eng Strength of bronsted acid sites of layered zeolites In this contribution, the acidity of layered materials derived from various zeolites (IPC-1PI and hierarchical MFI particularly) were investigated. Strength of acid sites was evaluated by study of energetics of Brønsted OH groups interaction with ammonia and carbon monoxide as probe molecules. Combination of various experimental techniques (microcalorimetry, FTIR and TPD) was used. Properties of Brønsted acid sites on 2D zeolites were compared with properties of acid sites on 3D counterparts and discussed herein together with their catalytic performance in toluene alkylation reaction. catalysis; acid strength; layered materials; zeolite
