eng Push-pull pyrazines in photoredox catalysis Regarding demand of performing new chemical transformations, photoredox catalysis attract much attention. In the last decade, the research activity has been directed towards new small organic molecules as efficient photoredox catalysts. In 2012, catalyst based on 4,5 disubstituted pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile (DCP) have been developed in our group. Since then, this molecule proved its efficiency in many photoredox reactions, for instance oxidation, oxidative hydroxylation, reductive dehalogenation, cross-dehydrogenative coupling and so on. With the aim to study structure-property relationships, additional structural modifications have been performed. The original pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile and its structural isomer - pyrazine-5,6-dicarbonitrile, were decorated with various electron donors (methoxy, methylthio groups in combination with thiophene rings). Synthesis of all catalysts and their application in photoredox processes will be discussed. Pyrazines; photoredox catalysis; oxidation
