eng Relaxation behavior of Ge25Se75 and As20Se80 studied by DSC This contribution is focused on the study of structural relaxation (also called physical ageing) of chalcogenide glasses using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Structural relaxation of amorphous materials means small changes in the structure towards the equilibrium state (which is the crystal phase) at temperatures below the glass transition temperature (Tg) , which are reflected in a change in the properties of material. These changes in properties can then affect the functionality of the material, especially if the material is exposed to long-term storage or temperature fluctuations. Knowledge of the material´s behavior and its prediction then enables the optimum conditions for its use to be set. The amorphous samples of chalcogenide glasses of compositions Ge25Se75 and As20Se80 were prepared and used as the model system for the study of structural relaxation and the use of the TNM model. structural relaxation; chalcogenide; glass; DSC
