eng Towards Crystalline (Cyano)Vinylene-Linked Covalent Organic Frameworks: Synthesis Optimization and Fundamental Properties Over the last two decades, covalent organic frameworks (COF) have become one of the most studied organic porous materials with a great potential to be used in sensing, catalysis, organic electronics, or energy-related applications. Due to their regular structure in multiple dimensions and strong covalent bonds connecting the particular moieties, they are characterized by unique physicochemical properties customizable to the required function. Herein, we have focused on 2D covalent organic frameworks with olefinic linkages. For study, two series of covalent organic frameworks based on 2,2',2'' (benzene-1,3,5-triyl)triacetonitrile (BTAN) and 2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine (TMT) nodes have been proposed. Three aromatic dialdehydes of different lengths were used as reaction partners. The contribution will discuss the optimization experiments and fundamental characterization of the prepared polymeric materials, including model compound preparation. Covalent Organic Framework
