eng Transport and optical properties of the quasi 2D Bi2O2Se single crystals. Bi2O2Se belongs to group of layered oxygen-containing semiconductors (LOCS) which have been broadly studied during last decades for its potential utilisation in new generations of high-speed and low-power (HSLP) electronics, functionally versatile for a wide range of applications in optoelectronics, spintronics and thermoelectrics (TE)1. Their super-lattice like structural features enable highly demanded and rather effective decoupling of the electric and thermal transport. Although there are a large number of studies on nanocrystalline and polycrystalline samples2, only a few studies exist on bulk 3D single crystals3–5. Thus, it is important to study the physical properties of bulk single crystals in order to have a comprehensive understanding of this unique compound. This contribution presents the preparation of large (of area up to 40 mm2) high quality single crystal Bi2O2Se samples grown by free melt cooling (FMC) method. An infrared (IR) spectroscopic study combined with transport properties on Bi2O2Se single crystals is presented. Low temperature data (10-300K) were analysed and some of the band parameters crystals were derived. Bi2O2Se; single crystal; trasport properties; optical properties
